Vikos-Aoös National Park

National Park of Vikos-Aoos located in the mountains of Pindos in Greece. The park area - 126 square kilometers. Vikos-Aoos was opened in 1973. In the park there are several villages, mountain Timfti canyon Vikos Gorge and the EPA. 

EPA gorge was entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's deepest. Its depth is about 900 meters. Vikos canyon has a length of 12 kilometers, which is on the bottom of a mountain river Voydomatis. A Timfti mountains reach a height of over 2,400 meters. 

National Park of Vikos-Aoos impresses with its mountain lakes, dense coniferous forests, deep caves. You can make unforgettable hiking, walking on the stone bridges over the river EPA visit cute ethnic villages. 

National Park of Vikos-Aoos located in the north-eastern side of the county Greece Epirus, 50 kilometers from Ioannina nome. You can get there from Nome, rent a car and following the road Ioannina - Vikos.
