Dirou Caves

Diru Caves are one of the most beautiful natural sites in Greece. Their underground lakes - the largest in Europe. 

Diru cave filled with stalactites and stalagmites of different shapes. Journey to the cave begins with the passage of an underground river, which reaches a length of 14 km, and the depth - 30 meters. To experience the beauty of the caves, take a boat trip to the Water cave lakes. This will take you to the fabulous world of caves decorated with stalactites and stalagmites of different colors. Diru caves have many halls, caves and pits. Their walls are painted by nature itself in different colors that shimmer in the clear water of the underground lakes. 

Diru caves are on a wild peninsula Manu in the picturesque bay. From the nearby town of Kalamata go there regularly single small boats.
