Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes Valley)

One of the most attractive islands of Greece - Rhodes. Many tourists come here from all over the world to see the beauty of the valley Petaludes amazing. 

Petaludes Valley or Valley of the Butterflies - the most popular attraction of the island of Rhodes. Since the end of May, after the dry season, thousands flock here butterflies moth family. Butterflies flit not, just sit quietly, clinging to rocks and trees. In July-August bears hanging on trees, stir living carpet. In the period from September to May butterflies no longer fly. But their larvae - huge black hairy caterpillar crawling through the bushes and trees.
Butterfly Valley is covered with dense forest and dotted with waterfalls, lakes and cascades. 

The island of Rhodes can be reached by plane from Athens local airlines or ferry from the port of Piraeus. Petaludes Valley is in the west side near the village of Theologos.
