Valley of the Butterflies (Petaloudes Valley)

Petaludes Valley or Valley of the Butterflies - the most popular attraction of the island of Rhodes. Since the end of May, after the dry season, thousands flock here butterflies moth family. But their larvae - huge black hairy caterpillar crawling through the bushes and trees.
Butterfly Valley is covered with dense forest and dotted with waterfalls, lakes and cascades.
The island of Rhodes can be reached by plane from Athens local airlines or ferry from the port of Piraeus. Petaludes Valley is in the west side near the village of Theologos.
